Google Checkout Cart Image in Product Search Results for Yahoo Stores

I have a google checkout account, I have the button selected to use it but, the icon isn’t with my name on the listings. Will that be updated or if there a problem keeping that from happening?
We can add “Google Checkout” as a payment method to your feed and then the little blue cart will be displayed next to your items. However, please consider the following: 1. In reality, your website does not accept Google Checkout as a payment method, if you click on any of your products and go to checkout, Google Checkout option is NOT present. Adding Google Checkout option to your feed without integrating Google Checkout with your Yahoo store is against Google’s Policies. You would running into risk of being banned by Google. 2. Even if you did manage to integrate Google Checkout with your Yahoo store, then you’d be violating Yahoo’s Policies. In which case Yahoo might theoretically cancel your merchant account. The above may sound strange, but I have not seen a single Yahoo store which would have a blue cart next to its listings in Google Product Search. If you know of any of such stores, please let us know and we will investigate on our side!

Missing Unique Identifiers in Google Merchant Center

Sometimes Google Merchant Center users are seeing on their dashboards errror messages similar to this: “Missing Identifiers”. If you click further you will see either “Your item list contains invalid product identifiers. Please submit valid identifiers.” or “Your item list appears to be missing product identifiers. Please submit product identifiers”

The question we hear more and more often – is it bad? Will my product ratings suffer? Am I being penalized already? Should I bother at all to include these values? The answer to these question can be found in Google’ s documentation on Unique Product Identifiers.

To briefly break it down for you: Unique Identifiers become really important and even critical if your product line contains Electronics, Media or Books.  If you sell items in this category, we encourage you to begin collection UPC or ISBN codes for your products and update your store information with them. If you are already our customer, Intecca’s ecommerce feed service will automatically submit the Identifiers to Google. If you are still not our client, we encourage you to signup.

If your products are NOT in Electronics, Media or Books category, than missing Unique Product Identifiers will still generate error messages in you dashboard. The difference is for the other categories absence of Identifiers is NOT a critical issue. we still encourage you to have them, but if you don’t, your feeds will NOT be rejected or banned. A way to get rid of this message (and help your Google Product Search rankings) is to add UPC codes to your products in Yahoo Catalog Manager or Editor. Then, once your store is published, our service will pick up the new data, send it to Google and the messages will go away.

Best Practices for Google Product Search

Let us inspect Google’s own best practices for Google Product Search and how we at Intecca are trying to make sure that your product feed meets these practices. You can always go over the full article on Google Product Search Best Practices.  We will just use excerpts here and will try to honestly access how our feed service follows them. So here we go.
